Dubai doesn’t exactly lack brunches, but Fouquet’s has found a way to make the ritual feel new again.

Launched in June, the French institution launches its Long Table Brunch in the Piano Room — and it’s not just another endless buffet. It’s a room, a single table, and forty people leaning in over chandeliers and silverware.

A Communal Table in a City of Corners

Dubai dining can often feel like little islands of two and four-tops. Here, you sit elbow to elbow, glass to glass. It’s the city’s first communal brunch, and that changes everything. Conversation flows, laughter bounces off the chandeliers, and by dessert the line between strangers and friends has blurred.

Paris on the Plate

The food leans French, as expected from Fouquet’s, but it’s playful rather than stiff. There are croissants and rillette to start, burrata and carpaccio that don’t wait for Instagram, and mains like steak frites, seabass, and risotto that feel like they were made to be passed down the table. By the time the millefeuille and tiramisu arrive, no one’s asking for menus anymore — plates simply travel from hand to hand.

Drinks With Personality

The drinks aren’t about theatre as much as about rhythm. Punch bowls appear, cocktails get refreshed, someone passes you a glass of sgroppino with sorbet and you don’t even remember asking. It feels spontaneous, a little messy in the best way — exactly how brunch is supposed to feel at three in the afternoon.

After the Table, the Party

When the plates clear, the room doesn’t empty. Guests spill into Club Rouge, where the after-party keeps the mood going. By then, the Long Table has already done its job: you came for brunch, but you’re leaving with new weekend plans and maybe a few new friends.

The Long Table Brunch at Fouquet’s isn’t trying to be the biggest, loudest brunch in Dubai. It’s aiming for something more memorable: one table, forty people, and the kind of afternoon that only happens when you stop dining next to each other and start dining together.
