Where to Eat in Dubai This Weekend: A Culinary Day from Dawn to Dusk

Dubai doesn’t do weekends halfway. From pastel-hued breakfasts by the sea to opulent dinners in palatial hideaways, this city ensures your every bite is equal parts indulgence and Instagrammable.
Here's your curated weekend itinerary start hungry, end in style.
Osteria Funkcoolio, Port de La Mer

For: Japanese-Italian fusion breakfast by the sea
Laid-back yet unmistakably stylish, Osteria Funkcoolio redefines breakfast with what Chef Akmal Anuar dubs “Itameshi mornings.” Located on the breezy promenade of Port de La Mer, this 34-seater gem offers a seaside escape with retro interiors and a playlist as curated as the menu. Dig into creamy scrambled eggs on toasted country bread topped with Pecorino Romano, or go for the oh-so-inviting Pain Perdu with pistachio cream and cherries, a dish as indulgent as the setting. If there's any more room, please push and bite into the chocolatw croissant, which is quite literally big enough for 2.
Wash it all down with Funkcoolio’s signature iced matcha strawberry latte or a precision-brewed V60 coffee. We had the Ethiopia, and it's silky smooth notes were the perfect addition to breakfast.

NAC Dubai, Al Safa

For: Chic London style breakfast in the heart of Al Safa
Step inside NAC and you could be forgiven for thinking you’re in the heart of London, in their original Mayfair location. But when it comes to style, with its monochrome floors, blush velvet seating, and stylish crowd, NAC is a masterclass in understated French cool. But what truly keeps Dubai’s in-the-know coming back is the food.
From Monday to Thursday, breakfast features Turkish eggs, brioche sliders with scrambled eggs and jalapeño mayo, and the new NAC Breakfast Plate, a stylish remix of morning staples. Come the weekend, NAC dials up the drama with a brunch menu that runs until 5PM: think pink sauce rigatoni, wagyu truffle burgers, and dreamy ricotta pancakes dripping in dulce de leche, which, please don't tell our nutritionist about because they're potentially the most decadent breakfast dish we've ever put in our mouths.

Brunch Society at The Guild, DIFC

For: Michelin-anointed brunch with after-hours edge
The Guild isn’t a restaurant, it’s a universe. Nestled in the heart of DIFC, this sprawling brasserie is broken into themed zones (The Potting Shed, The Aviary, The Rockpool), each dripping in character. But every Saturday, all eyes are on the Brunch Society, an afternoon ritual of high style and even higher indulgence. Are you ready for a midday club-like delicious food meets party decadence?
To begin, make your way to a buffet with overflowing seafood towers (the raw spread is just so divine) and beef tartare at the live stations, and don’t be surprised if the waiter keeps your glass perpetually full. Champagne isn’t an add-on, it’s almost a must? Don't say we told you that though. When the dining ends, the party spills into The Aviary, The Guild’s lush, louche lounge, where beats intensify and conversations stretch long into the golden hour.

Kaimana Beach x Harvey Nichols – Dubai, J1 Beach

For: A fashion-forward beach escape with Pan-Asian flair
Where the ocean meets opulence, Kaimana Beach’s exclusive takeover by Harvey Nichols Dubai creates a universe where style is stitched into every detail. Think cabanas dressed in high fashion, floaties and cushions curated to match the season’s Cruise collection, and a crowd that blurs the lines between runway-ready and beach-lounging.Food comes courtesy of Chef Michael Collantes, the Michelin-starred mind behind bold Pan-Asian dishes laced with exotic island flair. The Afro-house soundtrack carries you through from sushi to sundown cocktails. Here, your Aperol Spritz is accessorised with Maison Margiela shades, and lunch is best enjoyed in the shadow of a Jacquemus tote.We recommend trying the crab salad, so juicy and generous as well as the naughty-but-not-too-much lobster roll. For dessert? The coconut panacotta will end the meal succulently.

MìMì Meì Faìr, Opera District

For: A fantastical evening of fine Chinese dining
Step into MìMì Meì Faìr and you’re instantly transported into the imagined world of Empress MìMì , a muse conjured from the grandeur of imperial China and the seduction of 1920s Shanghai. The interiors are nothing short of theatrical: hand-painted Chinoiserie walls, coral lacquer, emerald velvet, and the scent of incense and slow-roasting duck lingering in the air.
This is the kind of place where each course tells a story. Begin with the intricately pleated Xiao Long Jewels dim sum, glide into the show-stopping Apple Wood-Fired Roasted Duck, and save room for the Wok-Fried Silk Road Lamb or Lobster Treasure Dumplings. Whether you're in The Parlour or The Peacock Room, every corner offers a visual (and culinary) feast. Also, please do not sleep on the little Chinese buns - just a little extra that can't be missed- Oh! And service is one of the sweetest in downtown. We found our new favourite Chinese restaurant.
