The Weeknd’s Samra Origins Coffee Is Back in the UAE With a New Nespresso Blend

Nespresso and The Weeknd are bringing Samra Origins back to the UAE, and this time the collaboration comes with a new limited-edition coffee, branded machines and accessories designed around something most of us can relate to: the ritual of having coffee together.

Having made a return to the UAE on August 11, the expanded collaboration introduces the Samra Origins Togetherness Blend, created for Nespresso’s Vertuo system and bringing together Nespresso’s coffee expertise with The Weeknd’s creative vision.

But there is a much more personal story behind Samra Origins than another celebrity coffee collaboration.

Co-created by Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, Samra Origins takes its name from his mother, Samra. The brand is described as a love letter to the woman whose support has played an important role throughout his life and creative journey. That connection also explains why ideas of family, togetherness and ritual sit at the heart of the project. For The Weeknd himself, coffee is something of a constant: “I have a daily coffee ritual that brings me grounding and comfort,” he explains. At home, coffee gives him a moment to reflect, while on tour the familiar process offers “consistency and calm” wherever he happens to be. And his order? Black, either hot or over ice.

The new Togetherness Blend builds on that idea of coffee as something greater than what is inside the cup: a daily ritual capable of creating conversation, connection and even creativity. Nespresso and Samra Origins position coffee here as a catalyst for everything from art and music to culture. And naturally, there is more than coffee involved.

Alongside the new limited-edition blend, the returning collection includes a tumbler, travel mug and Vertuo Pop coffee machines, all finished with Samra Origins branding and a distinctive colour palette.

This isn't the first time the two names have come together. Nespresso and Samra Origins initially launched their collaboration in 2025, united by what they describe as a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, creativity and meaningful everyday rituals. Following that first release, the expanded collection now gives UAE coffee drinkers more ways to bring the Samra Origins universe home.

The Nespresso x Samra Origins Togetherness Blend and collection are available across the UAE since August 11, both online and at Nespresso boutiques.
